MoM insights: In June 2026, South Korea's trade values showed significant month-on-month changes. For imports, the highest increases were seen with China (1.27B, 8.41%), Japan (696.12M, 16.22%), and Chinese Taipei (634.48M, 20.23%). Conversely, the largest declines were from Algeria (-461.4M, -49.25%), Gabon (-251.2M, -98.83%), and the United Arab Emirates (-181.68M, -10.14%). For exports, the top increases were with the United States (4.02B, 25.13%), Hong Kong (2.63B, 40.71%), and Chinese Taipei (1.66B, 24.80%). The largest decreases were from Norway (-197.07M, -77.32%), Bahamas (-102.25M, -43.85%), and Indonesia (-67.11M, -7.21%). Overall, total trade increased by 19.58B, with exports rising by 14.33B (16.33%) and imports by 5.25B (8.64%).

YoY insights: Year-on-year comparisons for June 2026 revealed substantial growth in trade values. Imports from China increased by 4.88B (42.45%), the United States by 1.94B (32.39%), and Chinese Taipei by 942.08M (33.30%). The largest declines were from Qatar (-667.59M, -90.75%), Mexico (-400.08M, -36.32%), and Kuwait (-229.45M, -47.37%). For exports, the most significant increases were to China (9.59B, 92.17%), the United States (8.78B, 78.15%), and Hong Kong (5.92B, 186.03%). The largest decreases were from Liberia (-317.57M, -53.25%), France (-253.05M, -42.62%), and Denmark (-182.6M, -75.63%). Total trade increased by 57.67B, with exports up by 42.36B (70.86%) and imports by 15.31B (30.20%).
